Find the zeros of the polynomial function. f(x) = 2(x + 2)(x - 4)^4

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Its well known that if the product of expressions is zero, then one of the factors must have been zero :) In maths terms... ab = 0 can only mean either a=0 or b=0 (or both, if possible)

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Patience, I didn't say that^ was my answer, I was only pointing you in the direction on how to get said answers :)

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Okay, there are three factors here to consider. 2 x+2 and x-4 For the entire product to be zero, only one of them has to be zero. Obviously, 2 can never be equal to zero, so leave that out... So... We have x+2 = 0 In this case, what is x?
