Someone please explain this to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That last denominator (x^2 - 4) can be factored into (x + 2)(x - 2) So, the LCM of the 3 denominators is (x + 1)(x + 2)(x - 2)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf \textit{keep in mind that }a^2-b^2 = (a-b)(a+b)\qquad thus\\ \quad \\ x^2-4\implies x^2-2^2\implies (x-2)(x+2)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhhhhhh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so add (x-2)(x+2)?
