what could i put in a 500 word essay to get into yearbook
Welcome to OpenStudy! Well, you could try something different, something for a special someone whatnot. What are the idea's that you've come up with?
describe the best experience you have encounter and the influence you had ipon others or changes that the school helped you move forward
Pick an open subject, be precise about what you want to talk about, but don't ramble on. Make sure that it's an open enough subject that you can write a lot about it without being repetitive so for example. Don't pick something like why are dogs better than cats, as you won't really have much to talk about with that topic
Is the purpose to serve as an example of your writing? or is its purpose to argue your case for being part of the staff? If an example of your work, write on a topic that could go into a yearbook. Show that you can do the type of writing that's needed. If the later, it's really a cover letter for your application/resume. Point out your qualifications point by point. Start with your strongest skills/attributes and convince them that you will be an asset to the staff.
thanks everyone for the replies they help now I know some more things I could put in ti thanks. But another problem has come up, i only have 300 words
That's great. It will force you to economize and tighten up your writing. Write out what you want to say and then start cutting. Look for places you can combine ideas. Weigh each sentence, each word. Ask yourself if they are really necessary. That's how you get good copy. Squeeze as much as you can into those 300 words.
