I'd probably go with (B). Any criticism of China during the so-called Cultural Revolution would have been seen as going against what was accepted as Maoist doctrine even though the one-child policy came after him. The other answers don't seem to be very valid. Films about Mao Zedong are still being made today and would have been especially popular in promoting his ideas during the Cultural Revolution. Back then, and even today, China officially does not commemorate the Tiananmen Square protests. Their censors essentially scrub everything related to it, even going so far as to block searches of the date. A reality television program about young people would probably have worked during the Cultural Revolution especially since there were many youth movements that supported it in the form of "Red Guards".
