. If an object emits or reflects light it must be the color white. it cannot be a gas. it has a smooth surface. it can be seen by the eye.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@roadjester

OpenStudy (roadjester):

"white" only reflects while black only absorbs

OpenStudy (roadjester):

IR can't be seen by the eye

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*confused*

OpenStudy (roadjester):

@Homi Infared light can't be seen by the eye

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Light is not an object

OpenStudy (roadjester):

it's an EM wave

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says object that can reflect or let through light @

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now if anything passes 100% light it wont be seen to naked eye, see meta materials (invisibility cloak for example wikipedia)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like the one harry potter had (it quite possible to make one, its been made already) so answer is D my dear Regards

OpenStudy (roadjester):

"an object that emits or reflects light" a flashlight is an object that emits light a mirror reflects light both are objects

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um, why don't we skip this question :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeay roadjester is right but in that case none of the options stays valid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well that's much better,...

OpenStudy (roadjester):

LOL so none of them is right

OpenStudy (roadjester):

@ybarrap

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just noticed that... :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good for you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (roadjester):

@agent0smith

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why not ask @satellite73?

OpenStudy (roadjester):

because i've only seen said person in the math group?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@theEric

OpenStudy (roadjester):

heck, you've tagged me for History if I'm not mistaken

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well @wio thank God you came :)

OpenStudy (roadjester):

@wio, didn't know you were a physics person

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is the last one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually that was the wrong answer :( THE CORRECT ANSWER WAS C

OpenStudy (roadjester):

LOL

OpenStudy (roadjester):

It kinda makes sense for reflection but not emmission

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YEP LOL :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's just wrong though. A jagged object can reflect light.

OpenStudy (roadjester):

tinted glass is not smooth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup :) every option can be wrong/right, i just think not enough information is given to justify any option.

OpenStudy (roadjester):

so i gotta agree with @wio

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IT'S NOT MY FAULT THE TEST IS NOT RIGHT....

OpenStudy (roadjester):

sure it is; you're the one asking =)

OpenStudy (roadjester):

jk jk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D alright see you guys later :) have a nice day you all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I KNOW :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YOU TOO @Homi :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

When you get crappy questions like this , find a way to report it to your school, via email or w/e. "it has a smooth surface" is a terrible correct answer. Gases can emit light, do they have smooth surfaces?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got this same question on study island, and i put D and got it right
