OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

It's duplicating notifications again

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

@Opcode had this problem with messages too a week or two ago

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

@e.mccormick @thomaster

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

That seems like that would be annoying. Definite bug going around that needs to be stopped.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Hi, The actual answer is that, OpenStudy uses a catch, and sometimes this catch will make the same copies of identical information. It's kinda of like DNA reproduction, sometimes the nucleic acids in your body will make extra sequences (mutations), and extra chains of protein. There's nothing that can be done about this, as it happens on even major networks (Xbox Live, Yahoo Mail, to name several). However, I prefer to believe the magical garden gnomes are behind these heinous acts.

OpenStudy (taylor<3srin):

Wish I could give more than one medal.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Comp, isn't that what you said last time? Btw, @opcode seems to know what was happening with his message problem, although I don't remember what he said it was.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Yes, @poopsiedoodle , it is. Compassionate acts on command. Compassionate is a robot. Compassionate is a database. Compassionate is compassionate.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

>Compassionate is a database Compassionate is an email*

OpenStudy (opcode):

To say it's not fixable is a bad statement, it is easily fixable (well that depends entirely how OS is coded... Though it is fixable.) There are two types of this bug. 1. Duplication occurs and actually outputs duplicated notifications (rare). 2. You browser breaks the script and re-downloads it causing a duplication of the message (common). (The notification is a ghost and goes away when the page is refreshed.)
