In a circuit containing diode , say in forward bias , the positive and negative terminals are connected with the diode , keeping what in mind ? Please tell for reverse bias also .
do you kno what a forward bias is supposed to do?!
firstly , thanks a lot ......yes , it is supposed to decrease the pot barrier , increase the curent ....
ok.. if u want that to happen which terminals do you think you have to connect the P side and N side to?
i know ...that with the battery p side goes to the positive terminal in fwd bias ....but my tchr while teaching it had told , that you have to specifically connect the positive terminal of the ammeter and voltmeter somewhere which i can't recall..and .behind which the logic i don't know..
oh.. the voltmeter and ammeter connections are always the same regardless of which circuit you are dealing with +ve of the batter goes to the +ve of the ammeter, and the voltmeter.. ammeter always in series, voltmeter always in parallel.. so this IS ALWAYS TRUE.. regardless of what circuit you are building!
Oh ! But why so ? The only difference will be the deflection will be in the opp side !
you are absolutely right but have you seen an ammeter? its not ALLOWED to deflect on the opposite side.. so a) u ll not measure anything.. and b) u may even spoil it!
but then why do the evn build it like dat if i cant measure on one half side of it ?
