Need help please can u help and explain liek last time @ilovemathbutneedhelp Each side of an equilateral triangle is 25 cm, as shown. What is the approximate height h of the triangle? A. 18 B. 22 C. 36 D. 43 http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1422500_1423000/1422771/1/8ad8b5d4c037bda7af7ad0f1e9c55aeadb778896/MS_PA_131002_171220.jpg

Well do you remember the Pythagorean Theorem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[a ^{2}+b ^{2}=c ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we are solving for h

OpenStudy (linn99123):

that pythagorean theorem is very confusing :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using the fact that this is an Equilateral Triangle, when split in half it becomes a 30°–60°–90° triangle. Which we just talked about :D

OpenStudy (linn99123):

okay and thank you for helping and breaking it down :]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(\frac{ 25 }{ 2 })^2+h^2=25^2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h = 21.6506350946 or 22

OpenStudy (linn99123):

ok thank you i have one more and i get a break :D
