Need help!! Find the perimeter of the following polygon. https://d3myway.brainhoney.com/Resource/13056615,411,0,6/Assets/flvs/lamath_v8_gs_e11-xml/res0121/11_10_05.gif

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Use pythagoras to find the missing side of the triangle first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a^2+12^2=13^2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

169-144=25 a=5 where do I go from here?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Now you should be able to tell what the missing sides are. Perimeter is the sum of the (external) sides.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 13+13+10 So 36. Thank you so much! You are awesome. Could you maybe help me with some more..

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

That's right. Sure.

How do you give metals?? Thanks for mine :) Next question is :An outside circular ring has a circumference of 90 cm. What is the circumference of an inner ring which is 8 cm shorter in radius? Both circles have the same center. Answer choices are: 11.3 cm 39.8 cm 54.8 cm 83.6 cm

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

click best response circumference:\[\large C = 2 \pi r\] it's 90, so\[\large 90 = 2 \pi r\]^take note of this for later the radius of the inner one is 8cm shorter, so \\[\large C = 2\pi (r-8) \]\[\large C = 2 \pi r - 2 \pi*8\]\[\large C = 2\pi r - 16\pi\] from earlier, 2pi*r = 90, so \[\large C = 90- 16\pi = ?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16pi=50.24? so 90-50.24=39.76

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! I know I might be bugging, but do you think you could help me with just ONE more?
