PLEASE HELP!!! WILL GIVE MEDALS FAST!!! Suppose IQ scores were obtained from randomly selected siblings. For 20 such pairs of people, the linear correlation coefficient is 0.913 and the equation of the regression line is ybar = -15.61 + 1.16x, where x represents the IQ score of the older child. Also, the 20 x values have a mean of 97.05 and the 20 y values have a mean of 97.4. What is the best predicted IQ of the younger child, given that the older child has an IQ of 98? Use a significance level of 0.05. The best predicted IQ of the younger child is __.
@coureges
this is the last one i need...
by the same logic as earlier:y=-15.61+1.16(x), x=98, thus y=98.07. a 5% confidence interval would there for be (93.1668,102.9735)
so then would the younger child be 102.9?
I can say with 95% confidence that he could have the value of 102.9, if you want a single answer use 98.07.
ok thank you...
