How do you simplify expressions?
wat kind
like Order of Operations
you simplify like terms first, i forgot the next step but i hope that helps.
"Order of Operations" are rules that tell us in what order to do the work: we start with anything inside parentheses, then exponentiation, then mult., or div., and finally add'n. or subtr. And yes, if your expression has like terms, you'll want to add or subtract them as appropriate. Would you please post a couple of sample problems, so that the rest of us could give you appropriate feedback?
I hope you do know that there are many kind of expressions as zendaya-replay-guy pointed out.. do you have a specific example that we can help you with ?
Thankyou all so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wish we could continue this conversation. We have not solved a single problem yet. Would you (Luce) please look through your course material for a couple of expressions that we could "simplify."
I didn't get an example I just need to know how to simplify one for a test tomorrow well the definition basically , so thankyou thankyou thankyou again! Sorry i didn't reply earlier I lost Internet connection..
Good luck tomorrow, Luce! Next time, please come onto OpenStudy further in advance, so that some of us can help you practice. Skill in expression simplification comes through practice on real problems, not on a verbal explanation.
Thankyou! And I know :( I can talk to you when I need help with a problem? *gives you puppy dog look*
