M<1+M<2=M<2+M<3 subtract M<2 from each side, You get M<1=? or <1is congruent to? Please help I do not understand this at all, all help is greatly appreciated!

So by def. of supplementary angles <1+<2=180. And <2+<3=180 By transitive, <1+<2= <2+<3 Subtract <2 on both sides And you're left with <1=<3
