will give medal Find the GCF of the terms of the polynomial. a. 14x^6+35x^4 b. 52x^8+12x^3

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

a.) so tell me, what number goes into 14 and 35 evenly ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 does

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

once you figure that out, then take the smallest of the x terms, which is x^4.... So you GCF is 7x^4

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

now for b.....what goes into 52 and 12 evenly....they are asking for GCF, so try to find the biggest ...it is not 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats 2

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

there is a bigger one....try again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no its 4 sorry

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

correct. Now take the smallest x term....x^3. GCF is 4x^3

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

any questions ?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I can try...however, I can't make any promises. Polynomials and monomials and stuff like that are not my best subject

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill open a new question and if you would look at it that would help
