Help pleas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is a simple one, take the coefficients in front of the roots, 4, 2, and -1 and add them together. Square root of 6 stays the same, you're just adding the numbers in front.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 6√6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope, because there is still the -1. Even though it says -√6, there is always a 1 there. so -1.

I'm supposed to simplify fully

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

u got 6√6 by adding 4√6+2√6 this ... yet u got - √6 remaining in ur expression .. so... if u want to fully simplify it.. 6√6 - √6 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is simplifying fully. That isn't solving the equation. That's just putting it simplest terms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is it 5√6 6√6 5√18 or 6√18.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5√6 because you're just adding and subtracting the numbers in front. 4+2-1 =5. The root is the same so it stays 6.
