OpenStudy (mertsj):

In an arithmetic sequence, you have to add a number to the first term to get the second term.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Then you have to add that same number to the second term to get the third term.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

That means that the second term has to be half way between the first term and the third term. So find the average of the first and third terms. That will be the second term.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in your first response you said add a number, what number do i add to it?.. @Mertsj

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I don't know.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

find the average like I said and then you will be able to figure out what number you have to add.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is probably 28

OpenStudy (aa123):

zepdrix (zepdrix):

whut? c:

zepdrix (zepdrix):

To get from 22 to 34 you move 12. But there is a spot between them. If they're evenly spaced, you move half of that 12 to get your next number.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

What are you confused about lady em? +_+

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i thought the answer was 28 but i always second guess myself so i was wondering if you could help reassure me (: @zepdrix

zepdrix (zepdrix):

ya 28 sounds good \c:/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay! thanks so muchhh! (: @zepdrix sorry i had to go do something
