@campbell_st

OpenStudy (trantom):

It was rotated, 180 degrees. It doesn't matter which way you rotated it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@trantom, is your answer correct?

OpenStudy (trantom):

it was rotated, yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What should I write? @trantom

OpenStudy (trantom):

well is it a long or short answer

OpenStudy (trantom):

if its a short answer just say "the polygon was rotated 180 degrees around the origin." for the first part of the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thank you! (:

OpenStudy (trantom):

do you know the second part of the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nooo.

OpenStudy (trantom):

ok. Do you know how to find a point on a graph and how to write what it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No.

OpenStudy (trantom):

Well you see there is an x axis and a y axis. if a point is lined up with a 2 on the x axis, the for that point x=2, got it? Same thing with y. If a point lines up with some y number, then that y number is the point's y value.

OpenStudy (trantom):

you can remember which axis (they look like lines with arrows on either end) is which by remembering "y to the sky and x is (literally) a CROSS"

OpenStudy (trantom):

so y is up and down and x is the horizontal axis. Alright. So do you know what a verticie is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (trantom):

ok so can you find the points on the graph where the verticies are? Points are labeled in the form (x,y) ; so the x number comma the y number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I cannot find it.

OpenStudy (trantom):

here let me show you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isn't that the answer?

OpenStudy (trantom):

thats not the answer, but based on what you see in that picture I just posted, can you tell how to find points now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There a number that says 3

OpenStudy (trantom):

I suggest watching this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9P2JerZ7AiQ

OpenStudy (trantom):

its not mine but it will help you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thanks.
