\[v ^{2}+5v-36\]
OpenStudy (tkhunny):
What factorizations are there of 36?
1 x 36
2 x 18
3 x 12
Any more?
OpenStudy (danielbarriosr1):
5 x 7
OpenStudy (tkhunny):
?? 5*7 = 35 That's not 36.
OpenStudy (danielbarriosr1):

6 x 6
OpenStudy (tkhunny):
Okay, any of those factorizations have a difference of 5?
1*36 ==> 36-1 = 35 That's not 5
2*18 ==> 18-2 = 16 That's not 5
3*12 ==> 12-3 = 9 That's not 5, but we do seem to be getting closer.
OpenStudy (danielbarriosr1):
I think is 4 x 9
OpenStudy (tkhunny):
There you go.

What's 7*8 doing in there?
You tell me if it's right. Multiply it back out and see if you recover the original.
