No More than 18 people are allowed in the gallery at one time. Write an inequality

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

Hmm, so I take it that you have to write an inequality relating the number of people present, and the maximum number of people?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@noseboy908 yes

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

Ok, so if the number of people has to be below 15, which of the following could we use to relate the two, with the current number of people on the left side of the equation, and the maximum on the right: "less than", "greater than", "less than or equal to", or "greater than or equal to"? Note that whatever you choose must prove the following true: x (which is the number of people currently present) must be (Insert sign here, out of the possible four) the maximum number of people, which is 15.

@noseboy908 it says 18 though

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

Yeah, my mistake. But the question remains the same.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okaaay thank you! :) @noseboy908

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

What did you get for your equation?

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

I'm glad if you understand, but I want to first make sure that you do understand.
