.The energy associated with the motion and position of an object is called A.kinetic energy. B.potential energy. C.gravitational potential energy. D.mechanical energy. i had picked D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please post this in Physics.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is A. Kinetic has to do with movement and position

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Auxuris noone is in physics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For future referance, you'll have better help if you post this in the Physics tab of this website.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please post in Physics as others have said. p.s. The answer is not A. @Nick123cross1 and @ECSarabia , you are both incorrect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@CliffSedge well what do u think it is because i thought it was D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how so? potential energy is the energy an object has before motion. so that rules out b and c. and mechanical energy. . well i haven't been in my AP Physics class in about a year. forgot mechanical.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, what is your reasoning? Why do you think that is referring to mechanical energy?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i do know kinetic has to do with motion and whatnot.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ECSarabia , kinetic energy is independent of position.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here's a hint: ME = KE + PE.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'd have to look at my notes from physics, it pertains to mass and velocity correct? So then yeah, it would be mechanical by elminiation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right. Kinetic is motion, Potential is position, and both together are Mechanical.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@CliffSedge is C right??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You didn't answer my question asking what your reason was for picking D. Now what is your reason for thinking C is correct? (in light of the fact that I've already answered the question for you).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk__

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please tell me if D is right? @CliffSedge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you're not going to answer my questions, then I'm not going to answer yours. I'm not interested in a one-sided conversation. Good luck.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@CliffSedge i did answer yours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh? Here were the questions: (1) "..what is your reasoning? Why do you think that is referring to mechanical energy?" (2) "..what is your reason for thinking C is correct?" Where are your answers to those questions, because I don't see them?
