OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Jack1 will you help me please?

OpenStudy (jack1):

aye lassie... but the q looks jumbled...?

OpenStudy (jack1):

9 16 8 17 16 9 4 6 3 is it this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, exactly!! @Jack1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry about that

OpenStudy (jack1):

9 16 8 17 16 9 4 6 3 Put them in order: 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 9, 16, 16, 17 Cut the list into quarters: first quartile is 5 ; median (middle) is 9, 3rd quartile is 16

OpenStudy (jack1):

9 numbers there, so 5th number is the middle = 9 (as 4 numbers either side of the 9) first quartile is 5, as there are 4 numbrs in that side, so middle of 4 and 6 is 5 3rd quartile is 16, as there are 4 numbers on that side, so middle of 16 and 16 is 16

OpenStudy (jack1):

following ok @rebecca007 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (jack1):
