Organize the following polynomial expressions from least to greatest based on their degree: I x + 2xyz II 3x + y + z III 2x3y + y2x - 3x + 4 IV 9x3yz A II, III, I, IV B III, I, IV, II C I, II, IV, III D II, I, III, IV

I'm sure that it's either A or D But I'm unsure how III works

OpenStudy (phi):

the degree of an equation is the highest degree of all of its terms. the degree of a term is the sum of the exponents on the variables that are multiplied together. (if no exponent is given, it is 1. e.g. x is the same as x^1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whoops forgot to make it exponents but it would be D then because the value of the term of III is 4 and the one in I is 3.

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, and they want least to greatest order

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's why it would be D. II has the lowest Degree of 1 and so on so forth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it D
