The ellipse with x-intercepts (5, 0) and (-5, 0); y-intercepts (0, 3) and (0, -3)??

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

You want the equation?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

@Xmoses1 ?

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Oh yeah sorry how do i write it out?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Oh ok i see then i just insert the x and y and solve using the equation?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

No, you have to find the equation of the ellipse yeah? So you need to have those x and y's in the equation as they serve as the locus of all possible points on that ellipse. You have to substitute a and b's values to get the final ellipse equation. :)

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Ok thanks for the help!

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

:)
