Which graph is the graph of the inequality y ≤1/2x – 2? For this one i think its this graph am i right? http://prntscr.com/2z5e1x

OpenStudy (zale101):

you are right, if you plot the points and graphed then line, it would look like this, the line is therefore not dashed it's solid because the inequality is less than and "equal to", and if you plug in the points (0,0) y isn't less than the equation so the shaded part doesn't pass 0,0 good job :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me with a few more to make sure i get them right?

OpenStudy (zale101):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which is the graph of the inequality y < 2.5? http://prntscr.com/2z5gne this one i'm not positive that im right on.

OpenStudy (zale101):

y=2.5 the graph is horizontal on point 2.5 on the y-axis, then the entire area below it should be shaded because (0)>2.5 , 0 is less than 2 which is true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what i was thinking but was not sure i get confused on graphs alot..

OpenStudy (zale101):

that's alright, we all get confused when we start learning new concepts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

With this one im lost on im not sure how to find the inequality http://prntscr.com/2z5iqx

OpenStudy (zale101):

but when u practice practice practice, you'll get it :D

OpenStudy (zale101):

what are the coordinates the line is passing on? we first need to know how to graph the line and figure out the shaded part afterwards

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://prntscr.com/2z5jve those are the answer choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My guess is B

OpenStudy (zale101):

|dw:1394183995012:dw| |dw:1394184033512:dw| so, -3/2 is the most accurate slope, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (zale101):

|dw:1394184121286:dw| |dw:1394184169114:dw| u are right, that leaves use with choices B and C
