A formula for finding the area of a rectangle is A = l • w. If you know the area (A) and width (w) of a rectangle, which formula can you use to find the length (l)? I just really don't understand these, this is my last question today I promise :p

Ask more questions, that's how you'll learn. :) A = I * w We have to find a formula to give us 'l'. What can we do here? Well, we could subtract 'A' from both sides, but that would not help. We need the sole 'l' on one of the sides, either LHS or RHS. So We divide both sides by 'w'. Why? Because then the 'w' leaves the 'l' alone and gives us it's value. So l * w / w = A / w l = A/w Understood these now? :)

Ohhh, that is pretty clear when you say it. It's better when it's said out like you do, this website is just so unclear. Lol, but you really did clear it up. Thank you :)

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

You're welcome. Can you now try out the question I gave you above? :)

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Lol, I am a guy. :'D

OpenStudy (vanessagilbert1023):

I'm sorrry! Haha, and okay I'm taking a quiz right now let me finish it real quick !

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Okay. :) But just make sure, you get the concept right, it is pretty important. :) So long..
