Company ABC produces widgets. They have found that the cost, c (x), of making x widgets is a quadratic function in terms of x. The company also discovered that it costs $23 to produce 2 widgets, $55 to produce 4 widgets, and $247 to produce 10 widgets. What is the total cost of producing 8 widgets
We can model c(x), the cost of making x widgets, as a quadratic function: c(x) = ax^2 +bx + c
help @bibby
To do this you go into a graphing calculator and use Stat and edit then you go to stat calc, quad reg and then it gives you an equation, plug in 8 to that equation and you get the answer, you should get 167
c(2) = 23 c(4) = 55 c(10)=247
@jdoe0001 @Destinymasha @agent0smith @AuroraB Help Us please
Using mac's idea of quadratic regression you get : c(x) = 2x^2 + 4x + 7 then find c(8).
