Why aren't parallelograms ALWAYS Rhombuses?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because a parallelogram can also be a rectangle, and a rectangle isn't a rhombus

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Because a parallelogram is defined as "a quadrilateral whose opposite sides are parallel and equal in length". Only the opposite sides have to be equal. If all four sides had to be equal, then it should be in its definition.
