How do I find the y-intercept?

OpenStudy (hanner_b_nanner):

When using y=mx+b?

yes

And the equaton is y= -2/3x+4

OpenStudy (hanner_b_nanner):

|dw:1394665327733:dw| This is what the line for this equation will look like. Since your Y-intercept is 4 (because the "b" in y=mx+b is the y-intercept), you start your point/line on 4 and continue doing the rise/run and finding your points. When you've found them all, connect them with a line... Ok, so now you've done that... You have to find the Y side. You go through and find 3 on the X-axis... what's Y with that? |dw:1394665642523:dw| And keep doing the same thing.
