Can someone show me an example of reflectional, rotational, and point symmetry?
@emcrazy14
i can draw the figures that it is asking. The real question is which image has reflectioanl, roational, and point symmetry.
Point symmetry when you take one of your playing cards and turn it upside down about a point in the middle of the card you have exactly the same picture That is called point symmetry. Rotational If you have an image and you rotate some degrees and you see the same thing, that is rotational symmetry. I like to think of windmills for rotational. Reflectional When you were in grade school making hearts on valentines, you would fold a paper in half and cut a heart. That heart you cut out has a reflectional symmetry about the line you fold the paper over.

Okay. Point symmetry is when every part has a matching part. Or it looks the same upside and down. Rotational symmetry is when an image can be rotated and it still looks the same.
ok so would this work? one second.
The figure you drew has inflectional symmetry. |dw:1395064097041:dw|
The sides are supposed to be equal. |dw:1395064107749:dw|
Oh sorry. *reflectional
i think that fits all three categories
Awesome thanks!
