The volume of a rectangular box is (x^3 - 7x^2 - 9x + 63) cubic units. Determine the dimensions of the rectangular box by factoring the volume expression completely. Show your work.

... Take that off my post. Thanks.

I wish I could.....but I cannot....I am not a moderator or an ambassador

Lol, i was talking to the creep that posted it.

there its deleted, your welcome

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

you shouldn't have posted it to begin with

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

as far as your problem, HMT, I am not the best at geometry. This will help with the factoring.. https://www.mathway.com/

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

I think this is prime, they don't have a GCF

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha, i'm on that site right now!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And I have it factored, it's (x+3)(x−3)(x−7). but i'm not sure what to do after that.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

mathway is showing this as the factored form : (x + 3)(x - 3)(x - 7) I think one has to be length, one width, and one height. But I am not 100% sure. Because to find the volume of a rectangular box, you just multiply LWH. I am sorry but I am really not good at this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea, I got it factored. But if I multiple it then i'll get the equation i originally started with. That's ok, I only needed the dimensions... I think i got them. :)

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

sorry I wasn't much help. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's ok.

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

I'm not sure what you're trying to find, but the formula for volume is, V = lwh, you factored it into 3 piece which is what you needed? what threw me off is the 7x^2 >.> doing mental math i saw 7 is prime ;-;, means there's 7 x^2 .-.
