I have to reflect on a quotation. The quote is "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." Reflect on what the quotation says about power, life, relationships, or humanity. How the quotation portrays power and how you see power.
Anyone have any thoughts on the quote? I have to have 250 words, so far I only have 50.
Post what you already have
I'll try to add to it
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." This quote by Margaret Mead, an American anthropologist, represents the idea that "ever little bit counts." The world was shaped by specific people, or small groups, rarely did everyone come forward unanimously to further one cause. No, things happened because specific people made them happen, which is what Margaret Mead is trying to show us in this quote. If you have the passion and the commitment to accomplish something, then it can be done, plain and simple. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or hold an important position. Your success and your ability to change the way things are done, depends only on your determination to make your dream become a reality. Many of the great people who shaped our world to become what it is today started out as regular people. Regular people who had goals. Take Nelson Mandela for instance. He started out as a South African prisoner at first, then became the first black president of South Africa. Or Martin Luther King Jr., who started out small, yet went on to change inter-racial relations forever. Many scientists also started out small, then went on to make major advances in the fields of medicine, chemistry, physics, technology, etc., such as Thomas Edison who invented the light bulb among other things. In conclusion, no one is going to save the world overnight. But when thousands of people all do a few little things, it begins to add up. That’s when real change begins.
@studygeek15 You're in luck. I was feeling generous today, so I did the whole thing for you.
