Vietnam War/Biblical tie in
How did the Peace Corps put the Biblical admonition, (Luke 12:48) "to whom much is given, much is expected," into action?
@SeaTurtle113 I don't know why i am tagging you...
I don't know much about this, but I can tell you what I found from research.
OK :)
Not that I agree with these, but this is what two people said on the question; Eric Hayes answered 2 years ago I'm not sure any one public civilian will know the answer to that because the military probably has council meetings agreeing and disagreeing on what to use from the top down. However, your question is an interesting one are you curious as to how they did it because you feel that biblical scripts shouldn't be used as motto's or because you'd like to see more biblical admonitions? Either side of the table that you stand on in this, you do realize that even if Buddha said it or if whomever says anything and it matches up with "truth" should not be defiled or retracted based solely on it's origin, would'nt you agree? It's a true saying of responsibility/accountability. It's a very profound statement too. Rate Comment . JORGE N answered 2 years ago They tried to make a "Crusade" out of the West's contrivance. We thought that what was good for us should be good for everyone. They felt that the abundance we have in our country should be shared and that others too would respond and want and strive for what we had back then. Now of course we wonder what all that was about and what did we really solve if anything. Because we don't have anymore, what we had back then. Now we are not thriving but are trying to bail out a boat with so many holes in it it isn't even funny. It appears to have been a Christian want for a people who have other ideas of how they want things.
Thanks Seaturtle :P
