Sum of interior angles in a triangle is what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

180 degrees @tkhunny

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Okay, then the smaller triangle gives 78º + xº + Something = 180º Make sense?

OpenStudy (linda3):

Okay! Looking at the triangle we see that the larger triangle has two angle degrees- 84 and 70. How can we find the other degree? well that's easy! We know that the 3 degrees of a triangle always equal up to 180. So... what we do is, 84+70 = 154. 180-154= 26. Now that we know the missing degree of the larger triangle we can determine what x is by adding 26 +78= 104. 180-104 = 76. Hope this helps! :)

OpenStudy (linda3):

sorry @tkhunny! I didn't see you there! :/

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

No worries.
