Convert 6.62R + 45.16U to polar coordinates.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Are these supposed to be rectangular coordinates?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is kind of silly too. I'm using Saxon Algebra 2 and, for the purpose of converting to polar, they decided to change 'x' in R for right (-R meaning left and R meaning right) and the 'y' into U for up (-U meaning down and U meaning up). Basically, the x and y coordinates would be (6.62, 45.16). I hope that made sense.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Lol, that's weird. Never heard of that. So we're trying to get it into (r,Theta) form, where r is the distance from the origin and Theta is the angle from the x-axis.
