Which relation is a function? A. {(-5, 1), (4, 9), (6, 10)} B. {(0, 3), (0, 9), (12, -4)} C. {(5, 5), (5, 9), (5, 15)} D. {-2, 10), (-6, 10), (-2, 3)}

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

A function cannot have two different y-values for the same x-value. ;)

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Incorrect ^^.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iPwnBunnies So it's not D or C, so it has to be either A or B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's A

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Of course it's A! Why was B in your final decision?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am kinda tired so B's numbers looked a little fuzzy

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Lol, well it is A, lol. Choice B's set of numbers had (0,A) and (0,B) in it, so this cannot be a function since there are 2 y-values for a single x-value, 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay I get it now. Thanks!
