Which of the following uses a nonrenewable energy resource to generate energy? A. Nuclear power plant. B. Wind farm. C. Fireplace that burns wood.\(\color{green}{◯}\) D. Biomass power plant. Reason: When you burn wood, it is gone and you are unable to get it back. Unlike Biomass and Wind. (Nuclear power has been proposed as renewable energy but there is no complete agreement.)
what is a nonrenewable energy source?
natural resource from the Earth that exists in limited supply and cannot be replaced if it is used up
is wind renewable?
nonrenewable
? can you use up all the wind and it never comes back?
no
it will come back
so is it renewable?
oh
k
do the same for each form
then you shall find your answer
a
the answer is a
actually, the answer is up for debate in my opinion
if you can argue with your teacher, argue that there are two answers
as @Opcode pointed out
lol
yea, this doesn't really have an answer. Both A and C are viable options
<facepalm> I had a brain fart for a moment, wood is technically renewable. The method is called rotation where they chop down trees and plant new ones. (I was thinking about rain forests which as not renewable, but simple oak trees are renewable as long as the method used is rotation.) I would go with 'nuclear power plant' now because once you used uranium it is not coming back. (It is probably the best choice.)
