2p-4p is less than or greater than -2

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

2p-4p = -2p now it depends on p if if p = 1 , -2p = 2 p>0 then -2p<-2 p<0 then -2p >-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

No worries .-.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have a couple more questions can you help please.

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

ok ask em

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7<-(-k-3)+2

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

what is the question?

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

what do u have to fiind? the info u r giving is not enough .-. what are we supposed to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve the inequality

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

7<-k-3+2 7<-k-1 now add 1 to both sides 8 <-k now multiply both sides with "-' sign that will also the change the inequality sign and we ll get k >-8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks alot :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3-2(n-4)>-1

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

ah its just like the old one, why not try solving urself?

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

we have to isolate n on the LHS

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

3-2(n-4) >-1 how can we isolate n on the LHS?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtract n

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

umm no see the inequality is 3-2n+8 >-1 ^Here we have to isolate n so we have to subtract 3 and 8 on both side -2n > -1-3-8 ^ now we have to remove that 2 , so we will divide whole inequality by 2 -n >-12/2 -n >-6 now we will have to remove the negative sign, so multiply both sides by -1 that will also change ">" to "<" n < 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6(1+6x)<6(1-5x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you use distributive property for this

OpenStudy (cybershadow):

eh yes .-. u have to simplify the equation , try to isolate x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok
