What is the graph of the inequality? 3x + 2y > -5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ignore the shaded stuff. Can you identify which line represents 3x + 2y = -5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I can do that. Just give me a second.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nevermind, I can't V.V

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This happened, and I got stuck

@bloopman

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

Put it in slope-intercept form, it would make much easier to graph.

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

I see you already did :) Now all you need to do is take 2 random values of x and find the y. From those 2 points you can draw the line that represents your graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay... fractions V.V Okay, this will take a minute to do. Please be patient with me.

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

Of course :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it's one of the first two?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The graph is this

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

Yeah ! To verify which side you should shade take 1 random point from each side and see which one checks with the inequality.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome! Thank you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Who ?

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

You're much welcome ^^
