Use these values to solve this problem. x=2, y=3, z=4 6(x+y) My answer is: 120

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can anyone help me with this?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Is there a "z" in the expression.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Where? All I see is 6(x + y)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

With the expression 6(x + y) and x = 2 and y = 3, you get: 6(2 + 3) Now you do the operation in the parentheses first, to get: 6(5) Finally you multiply to get: 30 I don't see how you can get a result of 120 unless there is a variable z missing in the expression you posted originally.
