OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you trying to simplify?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Flop yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol okay

OpenStudy (compassionate):

(8x^4 - 6x^2) + (2x^2 - 8)(2x^2 + 8) First step is to factor. Second step is to add like terms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12x^4 - 6x^2 -64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

trollface, what is (2x^2 - 8)(2x^2 + 8)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(2x ^{2}-8)(2x ^{2}+8)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you understand @Flop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wasnt confuse at the notation faisalal, but thatnks for the clarification either way haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyway when you multiply out (2x^2 - 8)(2x^2 + 8), you will get 4x^4 - 64. now combine like terms as compassionate suggested
