Which is not a correct way to name the angle? A. ∠U B. ∠TUV C. ∠TVU D. ∠1 http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1299000_1299500/1299434/1/5615b04466aafe3f2fd80b46334c2cd7ca765743/140983.jpg
If you use three letters to name an angle, the middle letter MUST be the the name of the vertex.
B?
it's not A or B. I would go with C or D.
@mathstudent55 What do you think about C?
From quizlet.com: 3 ways to name an angle: 1 the vertex point if there are no other angles at the vertex that be confused. 2 three letters with the vertex as the center letter and the other letters representing points from each side. 3 a small number if one is given in the angle.
It looks like it's C. [:
Yay! :)
Do you know this? I think it's C or D.... Angle P is an acute angle. Which could be the measure of angle P? A. 180° B. 125° C. 90° D. 65°
@timaashorty @mathstudent55
We know that an Acute angel is lesser than 90° Which is lesser than 90 from the following choices?
An acute angle has a measure of between 0 and 90 degrees. "Between" means that 0 and 90 are not included.
D?
correct (:
correct
Yay!
Goodjob
Identify the pair of alternate exterior angles. http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1299000_1299500/1299435/1/7b28a284923a6c8d86af5a7dbe14cea98a9b7e95/140986.jpg A. ∠1 and ∠8 B. ∠3 and ∠5 C. ∠2 and ∠8 D. ∠2 and ∠7
@timaashorty
I'll explain these terms, one at a time. Then you'll understand them.
Start with 2 lines: |dw:1395701072041:dw| I called the two lines m and n.
A transversal is a line that intersects two lines at two different points. |dw:1395701133200:dw|
The figure now shows the lines, m and n, intersected by transversal t. Another term for intersects is cuts. We can say that tranversal t cuts lines m and n.
When a tranversal cuts two lines, it forms 8 angles.
Now I'll number the angles in a similar way to your problem.
|dw:1395701253091:dw|
The angles can be grouped according to position.
Nvm, im too slow. lol Mathstudent can show you instead. he/she is a great teacher [:
Angles 1, 2, 7, and 8 are called "exterior" angles because they are on the "outside" of the two lines. |dw:1395701303764:dw|
