OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

\[y=-3x^2+12x+1\]That's a parabola, as it has the form \(y = ax^2+bx+c\) A parabola is symmetrical about the perpendicular line between vertex and directrix. This one opens downward because \(a\) is negative, so the line of symmetry will be \(x=k\) where \(k\) is the x coordinate of the vertex. You can find the x coordinate of the vertex by \[x = -\frac{b}{2a}\] I don't know what "the coordinates of the graph" is supposed to mean. There are infinitely many points on the parabola...going to need a bigger sheet of paper!

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Instead of "coordinates of the graph," why not aim to find the "coordinates of the vertex?"
