Can someone please explain Skew Lines? Please...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Skew lines, in three-dimensional geometry, are lines that do not intersect, but are not parallel, either. In plane geometry, if there were two lines, they would either have to be parallel or intersect at some point. Skew lines exist in two different planes, so there is no way that they could intersect each other.
