Argumentative essay rules? Sorry, I usually don't ask for help - but I got a low score on the prep version of this essay genre... Since our teacher said "pick something that interests or worries you", I picked: Parent Expectations (and whether kids are living up to them). I am trying to get kids to see from their parents' perspective and vice versa. A mediator, if you will. Any ideas? :/

My idea would be to go around with families that you know, and see how that goes. Ask them follow-up questions, both questions on their expectations, and questions in attempt to allow kids to see their parents' perspective, as well as their parents to see their kids' perspective. Make sense? It's all about connections if you're writing an essay like this. (by the way, I love your profile. It's definition more than just a religion, but a relationship!)

*definitely. Sorry, auto correct.

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Uhh, I'm not doing interviews.... I need hard-copy sources.

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

And thanks though-

If you want an argumentative essay, you're going to need to see both sides of the story, thus talking to others and getting their sides in order to help support their side.
