DIMENSIONAL CONSISTENCY PROBLEM u = c*sqrt(change in p/density) What are the units of C in SI units? Change in p = pressure drop (force per unit are) roe =density c = constant Please tell me why you get the answer you do. I do not understand.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[u=C \sqrt{(Deltap) \div \rho}\]

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Umm first its spelt as rho.

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Something to note, to get the unit of C we need the unit of u and the unit of u depends on C!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u= fluid velocity. the answer in the book says there is no unit for c, but I have no idea why

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Oh I had a nudge c is dimensionless.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why is it though?
