@Gebooors, can you help me with this one?:o

OpenStudy (gebooors):

First you notice you have two one-fourth circles with radius 6

OpenStudy (gebooors):

Do you find the length of longer side of rectangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um, i think the length is 12 and width is 6 of the rectangle which the area would be 72. then again, i'm not sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Gebooors

OpenStudy (gebooors):

You're right, great. Then what is total area of two 1/4-circles?

OpenStudy (gebooors):

They form a semicircle, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The radius is 6 so uhh PI x 6 squared is 113.10 Do i cut the area 113.10 in half? @Gebooors

OpenStudy (gebooors):

Yes, that's right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it'd be 56.55? :o

OpenStudy (gebooors):

Good! Then, how you get the shaded area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area of Rectangle is 72 Area of semicircle is 56.55 idk what to do next lol um subtract? @Gebooors

OpenStudy (gebooors):

Yes, area is area of rectangle - semicircle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 15.45 :o is that the final answer?

OpenStudy (gebooors):

Yes, you're doing we'll, young lady, I send you a message

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it right (: Thaaaaaaaaaaaanks sir! lol @Gebooors
