As the electric current in a light bulb is slowly increased, the filament glows more and more brightly. Why does it happen?

well, since as time increases ... the filament gets more hotter....:D and as a result this thing happens

and am not sure if it really goes more brigther or not..... but this is the most sensible reason that I could locate...
