Which of the following is not a function of auxins? a. promoting apical dominance b. promoting cell elongations in stem c. promoting the growth in lateral buds d. promotion the new roots
WELCOME TO OPENSTUDY!!:D If you need any help regarding this site you can ask me or any ambassador(user with an \(\large\color{#872af0}{Ⓐ}\color{#478903}{}\) before their name) auxin is the plant hormone generally found in the apical regions...thus it is involed in apical growth and thus it requires cell elongation...root formation is also another part... so ur answer is lateral buds
Either A or C
Auxin promotes cell growth and elongation of the plant. In the elongation process, auxin alters the plant wall plasticity making it easier for the plant to grow upwards. Auxin also influences rooting formations. By applying NAA or IBA to a plant cutting from a parent plant, rooting takes less time for the new plant greatly increasing it's chance of survival.
