OpenStudy (suwhitney):

Assume you have one mole of hydrogen atoms. What is the ionization energy in units of kJ/mole?

OpenStudy (suwhitney):

I am doing a "Hydrogen Line Spectrum Data and Calculations" Lab for chemisty and cannot figure out how to work this problem. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is a experimentally determined value. should deb listed int he back of your chem book under appendices. looking up the value online it is 1310 kJ/mol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you were asked to derive the ionization energy of H from YOUR particular lab experiment. We would have to know the outline of your lab.... sorry

OpenStudy (suwhitney):

Hmm... what is the information that you would need from my lab outline? I'm not really sure what this question is asking.
