Which statement is true of Native Americans in the late 1700s and early 1800s? They often faced intense competition for lands. They enjoyed special protection under the U.S. Constitution. They rarely had dealings with U.S. citizens. They were relocated to reservations in the Southwest.

oh herregud....snakker vi paa andre spraakene naa? The native americans didn't get civil rights until the mid 1900s after the Civil Rights Movement. The weren't constitutionally equal until the late 1800s with the 14th amendment (14th or 15th). I'd go with A. They fought for land. In the late 1700s, settlers were expanding further west, and into more native american territory. We sucked at first
Ja, Johnny
its was A. Question Information: Whose land is it anyway? The United States gained land from war and treaties and Americans hoped to settle this new land. In most cases, though, this land already belonged to Native Americans. They had no choice but to fight back to defend their land.
