Medal+Fanning! What is the y intercept of these 2 equations? y = –2x + 3 y = –4x – 1
both is 5
The slope would be -2 and -4
Well they're in the y=mx-b format so the first one would be +3 and the second one would be -1.
Sorry but I'm not sure if 5 is right... The answer choices are... Graph the first equation which has slope = 3 and y intercept = –2; graph the second equation which has slope = –1 and y intercept = –4 and find the point of intersection of the two lines. Graph the first equation which has slope = –3 and y intercept = 2; graph the second equation which has slope = 1 and y intercept = 4 and find the point of intersection of the two lines. Graph the first equation which has slope = –2 and y intercept = 3; graph the second equation which has slope = –4 and y intercept = –1 and find the point of intersection of the two lines. Graph the first equation which has slope = 2 and y intercept = –3; graph the second equation which has slope = 4 and y intercept = 1 and find the point of intersection of the two lines.
Oh, for the y intercept @Razzanide
Thanks @Razzanide
For the first one the slope=-2, y-int. 3 and for the second one slope=-4, y-int.=-1, so the answer is the third choice :3
Thanks soo much! I appreciate it. :)
